After retiring my husband has so much more time on his hands. He gets on my nerves a little bit being in the house all day, so I pleaded with him to find himself a hobby. He likes to do a little DIY and gardening, but doesn’t take an active interest in either. They just wouldn’t do as a hobby.

He was keen to get started, especially to show the grandchildren what he was up to when they visited. He intended to show them the train models and the tracks he was going to build. The spare room would make an ideal place for the kits he was going to buy, it just needed clearing out.
